HR Assistant

The HM Consolidated (HMC) Group has operations in some of the most iconic regions of Australia and is looking to appoint a HR Assistant join our friendly and vibrant team. The Group has offices in Perth, Kununurra, Broome, Karratha and Adelaide and a total staff of approximately 260 employees and growing.

About the role          

This is a great opportunity for a candidate that has demonstrated administrative experience, including high level computer skills, with the ability to prepare a range of documents and presentations with a high level of accuracy. Its essential that you can effectively communicate with employees and management across the Group on a wide range of HR matters.

Reporting to the HR Manager this is a newly created role based in Perth and represents a wonderful opportunity if you possess a genuine interest in establishing a career in Human Resources.

 

Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include

  • Providing a high level of administrative support to the HR Manager
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Office facility support, including maintaining stationery and kitchen supplies, setting up meetings and ensuring overall office presentation is maintained
  • Assisting with onboarding of new employees, including liaison with IT, set up of workstations, issuing of access cards, car bays etc.
  • Administrative support in recruitment processes
  • Involvement in a range of HR projects

 

To be successful in this role

Thrive when working as part of a team, excellent communication skills, as well as the following:

  • Recent experience in a busy office environment undertaking a range of duties, including, but not limited to, document preparation and maintaining filing systems is essential
  • Be process driven with a high attention to detail
  • Be consistently vigilant in ensuring confidentiality is maintained
  • A high level of computer literacy, including a minimum intermediate level skill of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate high level communication skills, both oral and written
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence
