Parts Expeditor

The Role

Responsible for the management and availability of part requirements for Base Maintenance. The successful candidate should possess aviation experience and be fluent in reporting, chasing parts for the fleet and a have real go-getting attitude. This position will report to the Head of Maintenance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
  • ensure compliance with Engineering WHSMS policy and procedures.
  • responsible interface with Logistics for all part requirements.
  • identify potential parts issues.
  • advise delivery shortfalls to the Production Office.
  • frequently follow-up back orders and update estimated delivery dates.
  • report any delays in the delivery of parts to the Production Office.
  • provide Logistic support for workshop requirements.
  • manage all reporting for the department
  • perform any other duties as directed

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in aviation
  • Proactive, driven and assertive
  • Quick learner who is willing and able to pick up new computer software
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Willingness for interstate and international travel, as required
