Administration Officer

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Cobham and, in the midst of a global pandemic there is a constant need to be agile and informed to ensure the safety of all our staff.

 

What do we need?

We are looking for a proactive, research driven, naturally inquisitive capable individual to work directly with our Director of Safety.

As we fly and provide services across Australia, it is critical to our success that we remain informed and structured in the way we manage the ever-changing mandated requirements.

We seeking someone who can keep on top of current directions, communicate effectively with relevant Health and Police personnel to proactively understand any changes and keep Cobham management teams advised of the current COVID 19 situation and otherwise relevant mandates in accordance with our scope of business requirements.

This will be an agile role that will evolve to match business needs, but examples of your responsibilities could include the following:

  • Provision of daily COVID updates through media monitoring and liaison with various State Health and Police departments
  • Oversight of state border restrictions and impact on staff and overall business activities
  • Obtaining travel approvals and exemptions
  • COVID 19 related staff communications
  • Supporting staff in their compliance with COVID policies

 

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Initiative, with a ‘can do’ approach to producing outcomes and the ability to manage competing work priorities and projects within strict time frames and manage and report information in real time
  • Naturally inquisitive, someone who is always the ‘first to know’ and understands the importance/impact on our business.
  • A highly organised self-starter who drives work deliverables
  • The ability to work autonomously and research and ascertain the importance of information and communicate/escalate it appropriately, depending on the level of change/impact
  • Strong communication and ability to present information and data and deliver  recommended action plans tailored to the stakeholder group
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Focus on compliance – we work in a highly regulated industry
  • Tech savvy – you will need to be confident in the use of Microsoft Office products and have
