Skytrans has a long & distinguished history of flying within Queensland. With a high performing customer focused team, our turboprop fleet take to the skies each day with pride and professionalism, supporting the needs of the communities within regional, remote and outback Queensland and the Torres Strait.
As Queensland’s leading regional aviation operator, we are committed to delivering the highest level of safety whilst ensuring excellent customer service for all our passengers via our Regular Public Transport routes, resource sector and government sector charter services.
We are well underway to commence a jet operation as part of our launch into ACMI services by Avia Solutions Group in Australia. This will include significant growth across a large number of Airbus aircraft in addition to our current fleet of Caravans and Dash 8s.
About the role
A Captain role with Skytrans will open up options for career progression. You’ll get the opportunity to hone your experience as a Captain, paving the way for expansion onto larger aircraft (if that’s your plan). As we introduce a number of the Airbus A320 family into the business, we expect opportunities to become available for FO and then Captain positions on the jets. This is a great time to join Skytrans!
We are seeking applications from motivated, safety conscious and highly skilled Flight Crew who are interested in joining our teams in Cairns
Selection criteria for the role:
- Australian ATPL (A)
- 3000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours as pilot in command of multi-engine aircraft
- 500 hours in command of Turboprop or Jet aircraft with a maximum Take off weight > 13000kg
- Type Rating (DHC8) preferred but not essential
- CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
- English Language Proficiency Level 6
- Australian Multi-Engine Instrument Rating with IAP2D and IAP3D
General requirements:
- Possess high-level operational flight standards
- Motivation to perform in a disciplined and busy flight environment
- Industrious, proactive, and inspired to be part of a growing operation.
