Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design, project management and construction, maintenance, technical inspections and aerodrome surveys, operational readiness, airport security, training, regulatory compliance, audits and ongoing daily operations.

 

About the Role

AMS has exciting full-time opportunities for Aerodrome Managers to join our team at one of our remote airports in regional WA. A variety of rosters are available on a FIFO (Perth) basis.

You will be responsible for:

  • The operation and management of the Aerodrome in accordance with the requirements of CASR 139 and Manual of Standards, Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 and the AMS Contract
  • Providing management and technical expertise for the ongoing operation of Aerodromes
  • Developing a culture that delivers continuous improvement in safety, customer service and ensures compliance with CASA and corporate safety requirements
  • Planning and functional day to day management and operation of AMS Aerodromes, including stakeholder management, grounds maintenance and infrastructure
  • Managing people and assets to mitigate risk, ensuring continuous improvement and successfully delivering outcomes in a complex and challenging environment

 

  About You

You understand the vital importance of aerodromes to the aviation industry and you already know this niche sector has a lot going for it! AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you’ll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:

 

  • Previous experience in Airport Management, Quality Assurance, Operations Compliance, Emergency Planning and Management, Risk Management and Policy Procedure Protocol is essential
  • High intermediate to advanced administrative and report writing skills
  • Prior management and leadership experience in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise activities and manage workload to ensure effective management of deadlines and outcomes
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with members of the community, our clients, our staff and contractors onsite
  • Current manual drivers’ licence
