Flight Operations Technical Administration Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Flight Operations Technical Administration Specialist is to provide Support to the Head of Flight Operations in the development and maintenance of technical processes relating to technical and administrative functions of the Flight Operations Fleet and Training office.

The FLIGHT OPERATIONS TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a system of monitoring and reporting crew compliance with prescribed flight and duty time regulations.
  • Maintain base flight planning facilities and libraries/databases, as applicable.
  • Maintain base aircraft manual suites.
  • Maintain a record of all Flight Operations attributed delays.
  • Maintain and develop as required, systems and control procedures relating to the processing of navigation, route information data and aerodrome approvals (including relevant legislation relating to certified and registered aerodromes).
  • Maintain a Flight Operations audit matrix and lead and/or assign audit resourcing in the following (but not limited to) areas of compliance, flight safety, LOSA and third-party provider audit programs.
  • Develop and maintain relevant Audit Checklists for Flying Operations.
  • Manage the promulgation of relevant aerodrome, operational and navigation documentation to company staff, as required.
  • Manage and maintain fleet specific performance data / software / manuals.
  • Management of the Flight Operations based AIRS reports; including vetting, allocation, implementation and close-out actions.
  • Conduct projects and/or manage the allocation of project pilots assigned by the Head of Flight Operations.

We are looking for someone who possesses the following but not limited to:

  • Australian Pilot Licence (minimum Private Pilot Licence – attaining Commercial Licence qualification or higher)
  • Experience in flight technical operations
  • Excellent skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to hold Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • Experience in the use of various alternative IT products to Microsoft
  • Experience in Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) introduction / administration
