We are now seeking a dynamic Logistics Team Leader to join our Supply Chain team and play a pivotal role in our busy airline maintenance facility.

About the Role:

As the Logistics Team Leader, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and lead a dedicated team responsible for stores, warehousing, goods, and logistics operations.

This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring efficient logistics flows, supporting the engineering department with impeccable customer service, and maintaining compliance with CASA regulations and various industry standards.

This position is based at Airnorth’s Darwin Engineering and Maintenance base in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the Stores team in shipping, receiving, and storing goods.
  • Coordinate daily operations, delegate tasks, and solve problems on the go.
  • Manage KPI’s, generate reports, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain quality control and inventory accuracy.
  • Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Professional qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Project Management, MBA.
  • Experience in aviation (5 years) or mining/oil & gas environments.
  • Proficiency in Stores database systems.
  • Strong knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics best practices.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

Desirable Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and handle competing priorities.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and practical solution implementation.
  • Forklift Licence
