Aviation Green Paper Released

Written by Natalie Gane on -

The Department has released the much anticipated Aviation Green Paper (basically the Draft White Paper) and is inviting comments from industry. The Green Paper has some policy directions for the government (see below) but is also asking many questions for us to consider and provide feedback on.

The potential changes in the sector and the actions that might be needed today to prepare the industry for long-term growth (to 2050) relate to:

  • maximising aviation’s contribution to achieving net zero carbon emissions
  • emerging aviation technologies
  • workforce skills and training requirements
  • ensuring resilience to future shocks

Please have a look at the full report (all 216 pages) for full details.

RAAA will be putting in a submission (due 30 November) so reach out to our CEO with any feedback you have.
