At the AGM on 30 November we welcomed 11 returning Directors and 3 new Directors to the Board for 2024. We thank outgoing members Neville Evans (Jet Aviation) and Leif Mawson (Aviation Australia) for their past service and look forward to working with Eliza Tipping (Air BP), David Trevelyan (Basair) and Shannon Wells (Airlines of Tasmania).
Straight after the AGM the Board held their first meeting and set their priorities for 2024.
We’ll continue to focus on our relationship with the Department as the Green Paper rolls over into the White Paper and we’re setting up a new working group to continue working on Fair Work issues around pilot bonds and return of service. Training and skills shortages, particularly the urgent need for more LAMEs, also remains a key focus along with maintenance regulation and airport access challenges for regional operators.
